In contrast to other robovacs we've test, the i3+ EVO comes with a self-emptying bin that dumps debris into an external dirt compartment on the base of its charging when it's filled. This makes it easier to maintain the unit and keeps the i3+ EVO from overfilling, but it still requires manually emptied after every cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dustbin can hold 2.4L, which is enough to last four to five cleaning sessions.


Like the i7, uses cutting-edge floor-tracking sensors to produce maps. It also lets you navigate in neat rows. The i3+ EVO can only keep one map, whereas the i7 can store multiple. The i7's map is used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones but not for the i3+ EVO.

The i3+ EVO does a better job of removing debris from the surface compared to some other robovacs we've reviewed, but it is not the most effective in cleaning corners and edges. The app is simple to use, though it isn't compatible with Apple HomeKit and that feature is expected to be available by 2025. As of early November, Apple has updated a footnote on its website to indicate that this feature will be delayed until 2025. A few other robots aren't compatible with HomeKit however, a lot of them work with Siri Shortcuts.

This model uses an internal dToF LiDAR sensor to create a map of your home, resulting in efficient cleaning routes. The iMop received high marks for its accuracy and navigation. It also did an excellent job of avoiding obstacles such as furniture. It also has the ability to find its way back to the base station which is a great feature in case it is unable to recharge its battery during a cleaning session.

It also has a spot cleaning mode that allows you to mop or clean an area of your floor. It can also be manually programmed to follow a specific path.
